Your web site has greatly helped me on my weight loss journey. Weight Watchers is the only weight loss program I have ever been able to get results with. I believe it is because it teaches you how to eat right without setting "no-no" foods, just "no-no" amounts of food. I am one of those people who if I'm told I can't have something, whether I liked that item or not, I absolutely crave it simply because it is out of reach. On October 14, 2001 I was playing with my, then,
3 year old daughter on her bedroom floor. When I went to get up off the floor,
I threw my back out. I knew then and there that if I couldn't so much as get
up off the floor without hurting myself that something needed to be done. At
the time I weighed 229 lbs, and at 5'3" was extremely overweight. I started
the weight watchers on-line program the next day. I set my goal weight at 140,
never really expecting to reach it, and would have been happy to get back down
to About a month after I started the program, I found out I was pregnant and had to stop the program. However, in that month, I had learned to drink lots & lots of water, and how to make much more healthy food choices. During my pregnancy I was able to keep my weight under control thanks to my new eating style. In my 7th month I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Luckily, I was able to control the gestational diabetes with diet alone, thanks to what I had learned with the Weight Watchers program and all of the information found at your web site. A month after my daughter was born I got back on the program, and have now managed to reach my original goal weight of 140 lbs. I am a much healthier, happier person now. I feel that my two children are the real winners in my weight loss journey though, because now they have a mommy who can play with them.
