My Journey Back to Goal

September 2009 Journal

I will exercise 5 days a week on my Elliptical

I will listen to my "Enjoying Weight Loss"
hypnosisCD's  3  times a week

I will stay on my Weight Watcher Program

I will drink enough water daily

I will not give up!  Never!
I want to be back at my healthy weight!

2009 is the time to look just fine!

I will be doing my accountability a little different this time around.  NOW is the TIME for me to get back on track, starting with getting back to a regular exercise program. I will be tracking my weigh-ins, which are on Wednesdays.  I will also be tracking my "Enjoying Weight Loss" hypnosis sessions and my daily Points for the day, ounces of water and how my day went

Sept 9 ~ Weigh-In [ -3 lbs ~ 226.2 ] - [9:15 am] minutes Elliptical, 4.2  miles, 3.8 mph, 432 calories burned, watched Sopranos, Season 2, Episode 7 ~ 32  oz water ~ 34.5 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Exercising Regularly" session ~ I'm stoked with my 3 lb loss and happy to see my body will give me results when I work the Program and exercise regularly; who knew?  I was hungry today so ate a little over my max points for the day (I try to stay closer to the low end, 26 pts; my high end is 33).  Jamie and grandson Hunter came over in the evening and we all had a great time!  Good day on Program!

Sept 10 - [10:45 am] 42:30 minutes Elliptical, 3.01 miles, 4.3 mph, 341 calories burned, watched Sopranos, Season 2, Episode 8 ~  40 oz water ~  26.5 pts ~ I've been adjusting well to being off my sleeping pill.  Had a great day today.  Went apartment hunting with Jamie; found one she liked. Good day on Program!

Sept 11 - [10:30-2:30 pm/6:30-10 pm] Walked around the Spokane Fair during the day with Al and evening with Jim and Tammy; lots of time on my feet and they knew it! :) What a fun day of getting my activity in. Remembering 911 and the lives lost and changed forever ~ 32 oz water ~  24.5 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Avoiding Temptation" session ~ Slept well tonite after all that walking; tried Costco's OTC Sleeping Aid but not sure how well it worked since I was so tired from being on my feet all day. Great day on Program, even at the Fair!  Stayed away from the elephant ears and huckleberry ice cream that was calling to me, several times!  Awesome Day!

Sept 12 - BREAK ~ 24 oz water ~ 28.5 pts ~ slow, relaxing day; got some things done around house; excellent day on Program but could of drank more water.

Sept 13 - BREAK ~ 32 oz water ~ 27 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Appreciating Yourself" session ~ very tired today. Good day on Program.  Content.

Sept 14 - [9:40 am] 53:48 minutes Elliptical, 3.9 miles, 438 calories burned, watched Sopranos, Season 2, Episode 9 ~  48 oz water ~  28 pts ~ Woke up early today and got a few things done before hopping on the Elliptical.  Drank plenty of water and easily stayed on Program. Good day.

Sept 15 - [1:15 pm] 53 minutes Elliptical, 3.8 miles, 3.7 mph, 426 calories burned, watched Sopranos, Season 2, Episode 10 ~ 56 oz water ~ 11.5 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Eating Smart" session ~ I got up early but laid down again and didn't wake up till almost 1 pm. I've had gastrointestinal issues for 2 days now. Hopefully it will pass soon. Wasn't very hungry today, as you can see on my total pts for the day. I did manage to exercise though! Woo! Hoo! I'd say that puts me down for a good day on Program!

Sept 16 ~ Weigh-In [ -1.6 lbs ~ 224.6 ] - [11-3:30 pm] Walked (about 1.5 miles) around the Spokane Fair again with Jim and Tammy. Very hot, about 90 degrees. [5:45 pm] 55 minutes Elliptical, 4.11 miles, 4.2 mph, 461 calories burned, watched Sopranos, Season 2, Episode 11 ~ 56 oz water ~ 38 pts ~ Stayed away from the elephant ears and huckleberry ice cream that was calling to me again! Did have a great sub for lunch and dinner at Red Robin so a little high on Points but considering yesterdays 11.5 pts it's all fine! Another great day of being aware of what I'm eating and getting in plenty of exercise.

Sept 17 - [6 pm] Walked 3 miles with Al; beautiful evening with cool temps ~ 48  oz water ~ 30.5 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Exercising Regularly" session ~ Good day today.  Busy. Instead of the elliptical today I took a nice walk with Al through the neighborhood. Very cool and relaxing.  Hunter came by with a cupcake for "Grammie Doe" and "Grampy Al".  How could I resist?  He did awesome on the decorating,  He even helped me eat my cupcake. :)  All in all, great day!

Sept 18 - [10:00 am] Took Hunter to the fair (4th time for us!).  Walked about 1.5 miles while enjoying the fair through Hunters eyes.  What fun we all had! ~  64 oz water ~  31.5 pts ~ Hunter was up at 5:30 am waiting for Grammie & Grampy to get there to pick him and his Mom up to take to the Spokane fair.  What a great day we had and staying on Program was no problem.  I had a diet coke and water while walking around the fair.  Later in the day, us girls (Tammy, Jamie & I) went out to lunch (stayed fairly OP), then shopping for apartment stuff for Jamie and ended the day with a manicure for all three of us.

Sept 19 - [2 pm] 55 minutes Elliptical, 3.9 miles, 4.1 mph, 434 calories burned, watched Sopranos, Season 2, Episode 12 ~ 40 oz water ~  24 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Avoiding Temptation" session ~ Had a little trouble sleeping (guess the OTC meds aren't really working :( ).  I didn't get up until noon but then it was a quiet rest of the day working on DWLZ. Kind of a slow day but that's okay.  No problem staying on Program.

Sept 20 - BREAK ~ 48 oz water ~ 29 pts ~ Slept okay.  Woke up with a wonderful call from a very dear friend from Canada who I haven't talked to in a very long time.  What a nice wakeup!  Worked most of the day on the newsletter and our new DWLZ Funzone, which we hope everyone will like.  Great day on Program.  I couldn't eat much since I was typing most of the day!  LOL

Sept 21 - BREAK (day got away from me; very busy) ~ 48 oz water ~ 23.5 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Appreciating Yourself" session ~ Busy, busy, busy day. Good day on Program. Not very active since I did a lot of computer work today. All in all, pleased with my day.

Sept 22 - [8 am] 55 minutes Elliptical, 3.9 miles, 4.2 mph, 438 calories burned, watched Sopranos, Season 2, Episode 13; played a game of miniature golf and air hockey ~ 48 oz water ~ 20.5 pts ~ Al and I took a break today and played at Wonderland (mini-golf, air hockey). LeRoy joined us which was nice. Good day on Program. Ate at Subway before playing so that kept me away from the pizza slices, nachos, etc. Such a nice day too, temperature-wise. Great day and being in control of my Journey is the best feeling of all.

Sept 23 ~ Weigh-In [ -1.0 lbs ~ 223.6 ] - Walked 3 miles with Al ~ 40 oz water ~ 21 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Eating Smart" session ~ A good day today on Program. LeRoy and his girlfriend invited me to lunch at Red Robin and staying on Program was no problem. I didn't even finish my lunch I was visiting so much! LeRoy always asks where I want to go to be able to stay on Program. I love how he always supports me. Al and LeRoy are awesome and I'm so glad they are mine!

Sept 24 - BREAK (another day got away from me; very busy and tired) ~ 24 oz water ~ 23 pts ~ very busy day today. Al and I took Misty Dawn (Tammys daughter) to get her braces off. She was so excited and boy do her teeth look awesome! We treated her to Red Lobster, her favorite restaurant. I managed to stay OP there, coming in at about 12 points. I was a bit tired today (sleep schedule messed up a bit again ). I did not drink enough water today but stayed within my Point range.

Sept 25 - BREAK (was not feeling well most of the day; gastrointestinal problems) ~ 56 oz water ~ 20.5 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Exerising Regularly" session ~ Slept off and on today with stomach issues making it impossible to do much. I did have to get some groceries so made a quick run to Winco. Low on Points but did better in the water department.

Sept 26 - [8:30 am] 47.22 minutes Elliptical, 3.3 miles, 366 calories burned, watched Sopranos, Season 3, Episode 1; 4 hours organizing and clearing out the garage ~ 40 oz water ~ 24 pts ~ when Al took his walk he discovered our Honda was broken into . I left the car unlocked, which is something I never do. The robbers took everything out of the car. We spent the day replacing some of the things and then coming home and working on organizing the garage so the Honda would fit into it. I cannot believe that others would take from those of us who work for our things.

Sept 27 - walked for about an hour at the Falls ~ 32 oz water ~ 22 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Appreciating Yourself" session~ today we took a nice drive with Jim, Tammy & Hunter to Palouse Falls, a couple of hours from here. It is a beautiful falls. We did some walking and I took some pics. Kept my Points within my range but did not drink enough water. I had my water bottle but there never seemed to be a place to fill it up. The falls are very isolated. All in all, a wonderful day with great company. No problem staying On Program.

Sept 28 - worked 2 more hours on the garage; car can now fit in the garage! ~ 24 oz water ~ 30.5 pts ~ we had to take the Honda into the dealership to have the locking lugnuts taken off and regular ones put on. The robbers took our "key" so we coudn't get our tires off if we wanted to. I got up at 3:30 am; then went back to bed at 6:30 am for another 3 hours. I seem to be doing 3 hour shifts sleeping. Not enough water again today and my body is definately telling me I've been lacking water. Went a little high on my Points but I was hungry; kept it healthy at least.

Sept 29 - BREAK (tired, tired, tired) ~ 40 oz water ~ 28 pts ~ listened to Dr. Roberta's "Avoiding Temptation" session~ today I was very tired, all day. I couldn't shake it and finally gave in to it and slept off and on most of the day. My fibromylagia is acting up so I'm sure that is what has made me so tired. Water was a wee bit better today. Ate too many Blow Pops, at a Point each. It will be a better day tomorrow. Stayed on my Program but felt so "out of it" for most of the day.

Sept 30 ~ Weigh-In [ -1.1 lbs ~ 222.5 ] - [1:30 pm] 55 minutes Elliptical, 3.8 miles, 427 calories burned, watched Sopranos, Season 3, Episode 2 ~ 48 oz water ~ 22 pts ~ started my day a bit late but managed to get done what I needed to. Chugged water all day. Took some stuff to the Christian Thrift Store. Good day today, low Points and plenty of water.

A great month! Now on to October! We can do this!
